Friday 19th March 2021 - ECB Updated Statement
"The ECB have been working closely with both the UK government and the Welsh government to provide clarity in what the easing of lockdown restrictions mean for recreational cricket across England and Wales. We know that our communities, players and volunteers will have missed the social, physical and health benefits of participating in our great game and we believe we have an important role to play in supporting the nations recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Importantly, we also know that we have a collective responsibility to ensure the safety of our communities by ensuring compliance with both the latest government guidance. The aim of the accompanying documents is to share with you the information we currently know about what the return to cricket at the end of March will look like, in order to help your planning. This is based on our ongoing conversations with the government and key partners to date and information published on gov.uk"

TFCC / TFCC Group Ltd would like to thank you all for your patience and support during these continued uncertain times. Now that the government has given us all an update on the current crisis and how the guidelines may differ in the upcoming weeks, TFCC would like to update you all on how this will work for us all, including social interaction and cricketing opportunities. The ECB is now able to share the guidelines for cricket indoors for clubs in England and Wales. The purpose of these guidelines is to offer practical guidance to venues, coaching providers and clubs on the steps they should take while undertaking cricket indoors. They should be read in conjunction with latest UK and Welsh Government regulations. These guidelines could change in response to the current COVID-19 Alert Level or other Government advice. Full downloadable guidelines available at fresources.ecb.co.uk/ecb/document/2020/09/19/45d8928d-54c5-4f43-b76d-f7549547fba5/ECB_COVID_19_guidance_for_cricket_indoors_England.pdf TFCC (Group Ltd) - COVID-19 Update Statement - as of August 30th 2020 Tom Flowers Cricket Coaching (Part of the TFCC Group Ltd) would like to update all cricketers and schools on the latest advice we will be using for the future weeks following the COVID-19 outbreak in the UK. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) prepared on 11th July guidelines for the return of recreational cricket in England. The purpose of these guidelines is to offer practical guidance to players and clubs on the steps they should take while undertaking recreational cricket activity in England from Saturday 11 July 2020 onwards, both in training and in matches. They should be read in conjunction with latest UK Government regulations. The key update to the guidelines is the fact that as of Saturday 11 July 2020 competitive 11-a-side cricket matches can take place – as well as training – with adaptations in place to mitigate the transmission risk of COVID-19, including the overall group size (inclusive of coaches and officials) being limited to 30 people in total. These guidelines currently apply to England only and could change in response to the current COVID Alert Level or other Government advice. In Step 4 some adaptations will be in place for all cricket activity – applicable to players, parents, clubs, coaches, spectators and officials. Those adaptations relate to activity prior to, during and after cricket activity. A summary of the adaptations is listed below but please read the full guidance for England for comprehensive details.
TFCC (Group Ltd) - COVID-19 Update Statement - May 18th 2020 Tom Flowers Cricket Coaching (Part of the TFCC Group Ltd) would like to update all cricketers and schools on the latest advice we will be using for the future weeks following the COVID-19 outbreak in the UK. As of the May 18th 2020 the ECB maintains the position that all recreational cricket remains suspended until further notice, with the sole exception of the use of outdoor cricket facilities (nets and pitches) for the purpose of undertaking exercise as set out in our detailed guidance document The Government guidelines as of May 18th 2020, state that: “If you are a personal trainer/coach you can now work with clients outdoors, providing you are alone and only meeting with 1 person from outside of your household, outdoors, and you are staying a minimum of 2 metres apart. You can meet with different clients in a single day as long as it is only via one-to-one sessions and you are maintaining social distancing. You should also enforce strong hygiene measures. This might be cleaning any equipment rigorously in line with wider guidance on hygiene, for example by using antibacterial spray and washing hands thoroughly before and after use.” - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-on-phased-return-of-sport-and-recreation/guidance-for-personal-trainers-and-coaches-on-the-phased-return-of-sport-and-recreation The ECB has provided detailed guidance on the preparation and administration of outdoor facilities for clubs and individuals. The ECB is clear that outdoor facilities should only reopen if those responsible for them are ready to do so and they can do so safely, following public health guidance: no club should reopen their outdoor facilities if they feel unable to meet the requirements. The situation is evolving constantly, and we will continue to update our guidance as more information becomes available. At this stage there is still no confirmed date to restart the season so club trainings are still on hold. For more information for clubs regarding the guidelines please go to the ECB website https://www.ecb.co.uk/news/1668576/ecb-guidelines-for-the-use-of-outdoor-cricket-facilities-in-lockdown As of today, TFCC still have many options available, including a reduced 121 coaching programme as selected clubs (see image below).
